Common Questions & Policies

 

How do I make an appointment? Please click "BookNow" above or text (540) 382-1820 to inquire about last-minute openings. (I do check voice mail, but get so many spam calls that now I rarely pick up.) 

Are there special instructions for new clients? Clients are required to pay in advance (first appointment only).

How can I reschedule? If you must change your appointment, I ask that you notify me at least 4 hours in advance. Appointments canceled with less than 4 hours of notice may be subject to a missed-appointment fee. No-show appointments will be held for 15 minutes, after which the cost of the full session will be charged. However, please let me know immediately if you awaken with a fever, vomiting, sneezing, coughing or upset stomach and we will reschedule your session with no penalty!

What size is the massage table? My massage table is 31" wide x 72" long. I understand that this may be limiting for some body types, but sadly my stature prevents me from increasing the dimensions of the table.

How sanitary are your linens and equipment?  Your safety comes first with me. I was trained to sanitize to dental-office standards and this awareness carries over to my massage practice. Visit Health & Safety for details.

How careful are you with my records? As an allied healthcare professional, I am required to keep your healthcare information confidential. Along with the confirmation of your first appointment, you will be invited to complete an secure online health history which is maintained by MassageBook, the "HIPAA compliant" software that I use. If you would prefer not to record this information electronically, please complete and submit only the information that you are comfortable with and we will complete a basic health history on paper when you arrive for your session.

How much time will my appointment take? Please plan to arrive a few minutes before your appointment start time. Allow 5 minutes after the end time of your session for dressing (if applicable).

How should I pay? I accept all major credit cards via Square, including most FSA and HSA cards. You may pay securely online through MassageBook

Is it true that you don't accept tips? Yes. As a healthcare professional, it just doesn't feel appropriate.
